Julie Turner is a pilates instructor, body worker, and a dancer with over 16 years of experience in kinesiology and somatic training. Her certifications include Social dance, Pilates, Reiki and myofascial release. She began her career as a professional dancer in New York, where she quickly developed the passion to facilitate an improved quality of life through movement. Julie uses her extensive training in anatomy to help you recognize dysfunctional movement patterns specific to your body. She combines energy healing with fascia release massage to unravel those patterns, and then teaches you how to maintain your newfound freedom of movement with safe, yet challenging work outs. She has been a traveling instructor on the sets of Django Unchained, Scandal, and Confirmation. As a celebrity trainer, Julie has been featured in Self Magazine and on Elle.com. Currently, she works privately with clients in Los Angeles and abroad through her coaching program.

Myofascial release (or MFR) is an alternative medicine therapy that treats skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles.
Myo means "muscle" and fascia is a thin connective tissues that wraps around it, supporting and protecting the muscle. When the muscle and/or fascia is subject to over-or under-use or trauma, it can become restricted and cause pain and stiffness. Myofascial work is a hands-on form of massage that releases and relaxes.
