About Our Teacher Training Program
If we could call our teacher training a life course, then we most certainly would, because our students have amazing life-changing testimonials. Our Yoga Alliance Hatha / Vinyasa Yoga 200 hour Level One Teacher Training and Lifestyle programs are unique in that they are exceptionally practical – we teach people how to “teach” yoga with a clear, concise and comprehensive curriculum. We are proud to offer our in person and online course.
With over 20 years of experience, Karen Russell and the Yoga NoHo Center team are the only Certified Teacher Training course providing expert senior teachers, doctors, international guest educators and healers. Our sister program with the Nirvana Yoga Shala located in Mysore, India is just one of the international exchange programs that we offer for continuing education. What also sets us apart from other yoga teacher training schools is our limited capacity for individual attention, our years of experience in traditional and modern yoga forms, generous schedule so that you have time to truly live the training instead of quickly learning the program, free make-up policy, easy payment plan to fit your budget and a team of teachers who care about you and your learning needs for the optimal experience.
Our certified team will provide you with a nurturing environment to guide you every step of the way so that you can deepen your own practice and teaching skills to enhance every aspect of your life.
In our program you will learn intensive alignment, deep pranayama techniques, yogic philosophy and concepts, basic anatomy, meditation, Ayurvedic (the sister science of yoga), adjustments, asana modifications, comprehensive understanding of safe sequencing, and our mentoring program to bestow the ultimate education experience.

Training Dates
2024 Teacher Training Dates
The teacher training dates consist of 9 full weekends with the 10th weekend for review and business of yoga workshop. Our schedule gives amble time for you to go deep into your studies as to offer the most in-depth experience while offering time off for the important holidays. Please note if you have questions about scheduling or making up teacher training dates, please contact Donna Davis at yoganohodonna@gmail.com, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Hours of training: Friday Nights 7:30 pm- 10:30pm
Saturday Day: 10:00am – 6:00pm Sunday Day: 9:00am – 6:00pm. Please know you will have breaks and a proper lunch scheduled on the weekends, and we are here to enhance your training experience during this course time. Have a conflict with a weekend or two? No worries, we offer you the time to makeup up to two weekends and still graduate.
